BEER ME SOFTLY

Having a clear canvas right across his studio, Carlitos Skills thought of a way to bring life not only to his hometown city but also to the bar that sits across from where he spends most of his time. One day the artist spoke with the owners of “La Esquinita” with his idea of creating a mural on a wall that sits nexts to their bar and they were thrilled. The Skills team got surprised by the event “La Campechada”, and Carlitos knew he had to finish this mural in time for the event.
The composition of this mural represents the area in its entirety, it focuses on the 5 senses, the nose representing smell, the women’s eye representing sight, the ear representing hearing, and the different textures of leaves and flowers representing touch. Mixing all these elements with fun bright colors from the artists color pallet. Carlitos left the piece with very little to finish for the first day of the event, so he could do interactive live painting. After announcing that he will be live painting the same day of the event, he had a crowd of people supporting and loving his piece. He was able to invite kids from the crowd and include them in finishing this mural, and they were loving it. The community was very happy with being able to have such a beautiful mural in their hometown where they could go see it and have a drink at “La Esquinita”.
